PROA delivers innovative, exquisitely crafted dishes inspired by El Salvador’s variety of natural flavors and local sea food variety. Mariscada, Salt Encrusted Red Snapper and Arroz PROA - a spiced rice with mussels, shrimp, lobster and octopus - join together with fresh oysters, sushi, and other flavorful starters to create a seafood medley in the true Salvadoran style. Our casual menu provides the perfect lunch or afternoon snack by the sea. The menu is completed with a crafted list of cocktails and wine pairings.

ONYX

ONYX Beach bar shines during the day, but comes alive at night as the back-lit seafoam onyx slab under the bar brings new life to our hand-crafted cocktail menu. The multiple bar set-up allows private parties and events to have an exclusive experience with the service of a luxury boutique resort. This month’s specialty cocktail is the Lychee Martini. Live music on Saturday makes for a perfect date or group setting to watch the sunset.

 

Specialty House dishes

More than just a seafood restaurant, PROA has curated a menu of specialty items from Arroz PROA, our seafood paella, to our famous salt encrusted red snapper, the “Boca Colorado en Sal.” Ordered 24 hours in advance, the Snapper is locally caught and baked in our oven with a mix of herbs. The chef then presents your fish tableside for you to crack open the outer salt shell for a true culinary experience.

PROA and ONYX are set up to host events of up to 200 guests between three terrace levels and two different bars. Spaces can be broken down for more intimate gatherings so that events of all sizes feel intimate with a touch of sophistication.

Our executive chef works directly with wedding, reunion, and corporate events to design a menu that suits the occasion!

In person planning sessions are available in San Salvador or at the beach, with tastings available for wedding couples looking to make sure that everything is just right.

Special menus can include innovative small plates, our famous red snapper, tomahawk steak, or gluten free and vegan tasting menus.
